Verified Google Review
AG Windows and Gutters provides professional roof washing for Redwood City and the Redwood City homes. Using soft-wash techniques approved by major shingle manufacturers, we safely kill black streaks (gloeocapsa magma algae), moss, and lichen without high-pressure damage to your shingles or tiles.
Why Roofs Need Soft Washing
Those black streaks running down asphalt shingles aren't dirt, they're a living algae called gloeocapsa magma that feeds on the limestone in modern shingles. Left untreated, it shortens roof life, raises cooling costs, and tanks curb appeal. Pressure washing strips the granules off your shingles and voids warranties. Soft washing kills the organism at the root and rinses it away gently.
Our crew applies a biodegradable cleaning solution, lets it dwell to kill algae and moss, then rinses gently. Landscaping is pre-rinsed and protected throughout. Most roofs look dramatically better immediately and continue to brighten as remaining algae dies off in the following weeks.
What's Included
- Soft-wash treatment of full roof surface
- Targeted moss and lichen removal
- Killing of gloeocapsa magma algae at the root

"They did an amazing job on my gutters and solar panels, they really cared about the quality of their work and didn't rush through anything. My windows were left spotless and they also took the time to clean up afterward, which I really appreciated. It's hard to find companies that are reliable, honest, and take pride in what they do, but this team checked all the boxes. I would absolutely recommend them and will be using them again in the future."
Megumi Masuda
"I had tough hard water stain on the windows. Adrian did great job removing it. It feels good to have clear windows. He is an impressive young entrepreneur."
Aileen Liu
"I hired AG Windows to clean the windows for my 2-story house in Fremont, and they did an absolutely phenomenal job! I had 13 windows and 2 large sliding doors that desperately needed deep cleaning. Not only is the glass crystal clear now, but they also deep cleaned all the screens and tracks/sills, leaving them completely dust and dirt-free. For a 2-story house, their pricing was very reasonable and competitive. Will definitely use them again!"

"Adrian of AG windows came to clean my windows and he was AWESOME! Climbed up on my 2 story roof like it was no big deal, cleaned the windows, the screens and the solar panels. He also went up there with a blower and got all of the stuff the trees have dumped on the roof off of there. He has my highest recommendation and I will be having him do the windows and the solar panels from now on!!"
